BLACKPINK Lisa, MAMAMOO Hwasa, & More: Here are the Female Idols Who Won the Fashion Face Awards
I-MAGAZINE released the winners of their "Fashion Face Awards 2020." Among the 55 winners in the "Asian Female" category, a whopping 11 of them are female K-pop idols! Keep on reading to see which female idols won big on the awards.
I-MAGAZINE is a digital magazine that is based in different countries, most notably the United Kingdom, South Korea, and China. Unlike most digital awards, the winners of the "Fashion Face Awards 2020" are selected by a team of five judges ranging from artists to film directors. The rankings are selected through Adobe's facial recognition software to analyze notable public figures' facial features. Votes are also put in by members of the I-MAGAZINE team, which consists of 350 experts from over 30 countries.
Overall, to determine who the winners are in these awards, they take into account one's distinctive characteristic, their unique facial expressions, their versatility, and more.
Several female K-pop idols won big in the "Asian Female" category. Here are the ones who made it.
BLACKPINK Lisa is the Highest Ranking K-Pop Idol
The highest-ranking female idol is BLACKPINK member Lisa, who ranked at number 2. According to renowned makeup artist Ivy Gain, Lisa has harmonized features and beautiful twinkling eyes.
Oscar Iron, an Adobe Certified Software Experts, says that Lisa has modern face proportions, high cheekbones, and plump lips.
Tiff Sung, a senior beauty editor for I-MAGAZINE, commented that Lisa has a playful yet elegant expression from any angle. Her beauty is well-balanced and suits both high fashion and commercials.

Lisa hails from Buriram, Thailand, and is YG Entertainment's first foreign artist to debut. Lisa is the global fashion ambassador for the French fashion house, Celine. She is also the global brand ambassador for MAC Cosmetics. In China, Lisa is the face of D&G Downy, the yogurt drink Zhengouli, and the video game Brawl Stars. In Thailand, she is one of the endorsers for AIS Thailand.
MAMAMOO Hwasa Ranked Third Place
The second K-Pop idol mentioned in the "Asian Female" category is MAMAMOO member Hwasa, who ranked in third place.
According to the founder of I-MAGAZINE, Yen Cheung, Hwasa has a powerful and charming camera presence, as well as stable performance in any form of fashion photography.
Film and Art director Stefania Lonetti praised Hwasa for her almond eyes and sexy lips.
Samuli. K, a high fashion photographer, says that Hwasa's high fashion face has a strong and sharp jawline.

Hwasa is known as an idol that broke the traditional stereotype of female idol beauty. Compared to the soft visuals K-pop usually favors, Hwasa stood out for her strong and sexy image.
Back in Jan., Hwasa was featured in TimeOut Magazine's article concerning "Sexiest Asian tarts to Follow on Instagram Right Now," where they praised her for her bold image.
