EVERGLOW is finally back with a new album, "Last Melody," along with the music video for the title track "FIRST."

EVERGLOW Returns in Eight Months with "Last Melody" Album and "FIRST" Music Video

On May 25, EVERGLOW returned to the K-pop scene with a new image and a new album. The girl group's new release is a single album titled "Last Melody," which contains three songs: "FIRST," "DON'T ASK DON'T TELL," and "PLEASE PLEASE."

"FIRST" serves as the title track of EVERGLOW's "Last Melody" album, and is described as a song with an addicting harmony of vocals and melody with a strong trap beat. The lyrics convey the girl group's determination to step into a new world in search of the light of hope to fight against darkness.

On May 24, EVERGLOW held a livestream via Naver V Live to commemorate their upcoming comeback. During the live broadcast, the girl group shared that the choreography for their new song "FIRST" is harder than ever.

In the afternoon of May 25, EVERGLOW held a comeback showcase where member Sihyeon shared that their new album "Last Melody" will show their strong energy and signature worldview. She added that fans will be able to see more intense and mature performances than before.

Also, during the event, the girl group where they performed "FIRST" for the first time.

Besides the "Last Melody" album, the music video for EVERGLOW's "FIRST" was also released.

The MV was preceded by a one-minute trailer, which garnered more than six million views and 140,000 likes, proving the great interest of global fans in the girl group's first title track in eight months since "La Di Da."

EVERGLOW's Releases ahead of Their "Last Melody" Album

EVERGLOW made two comebacks last year with new mini-albums. In February, the girl group released their first mini-album, "Reminiscence," which includes the title track "Dun Dun."

"Dun Dun," which was well-received in South Korea, represents the thoughts of an independent and confident individual of the modern era. It has become EVERGLOW's first song to appear on the Gaon Chart. In particular, the track debuted at No. 63 on the Download Chart.

The music video for "Dun Dun" also received love from global fans. To date, the MV has surpassed 210 million views on YouTube with more than 3.2 million likes. This is EVERGLOW's first MV to reach the 200-million mark.

The "Reminiscence" was followed by the second mini-album titled "-77.82X-78.29," which came out in September. With this album, EVERGLOW surpassed their personal record of highest first-week sales, selling more than 25,000 copies.

The second mini-album comprises the title track "La Di Da" and three more songs: "Untouchable," "No Good Reason," and "Gxxd Boy." EVERGLOW member E:U participated in writing the lyrics for "La Di Da."

EVERGLOW's "La Di Da" is a blend of retro and uptempo electropop and is distinguished by a powerful bassline and heavy brass sound. The song conveys a warning against haters and people who are excessively arrogant and rude.
