It’s been a long road to bring back the spotlight for actor Joo Ji Hoon since being discharged from the army last November. He was scheduled to make his comeback with a prominent role in the musical, “Doctor Zhiyago.”

Due to issues with his vocal chords, his management team has instructed him to work on another project. Key East, Joo Ji Hoon’s management team, has confirmed that he will be starring in the upcoming move, ‘I Am A King’ instead.

The plot to this movie has a similar story line to the critically ‘The Prince and the Pauper.” ‘I Am A King’ will take place in the Chosun era and follows Sejong, which will be played by Joo Ji Hoon, and a man of royal who switches identities with a beggar, which will also be played by Joo Ji Hoon. The plot thickens as Sejong is on a mission to experience a different life with different people before overtaking the throne.

This film will be directed by Jang Gyoo Seong, and is slated to begin filming in February.
