Lee Hyori and 'Street Woman Fighter' Dance Crews to Have Special Collaboration Stage at 2021 MAMA
On December 6 KST, officials from the Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA), announced that former FIN.K.L member Lee Hyori and all the eight dance crews from "Street Woman Fighter" will be uniting to perform a special collaboration stage at this year's awards ceremony.
Such a collaboration has become highly-anticipated as Lee Hyori is one of the most popular K-Pop idols from the first generation. In addition, she is also the first female host of MAMA and the performance will mark her first stage at the awards show in 13 years, following her performance back in 2008 with BIGBANG.
The dance crews from "Street Woman Fighter" have also been gaining popularity after sweeping the country into a dance craze, and even saw success internationally.
Lee Hyori and the eight dance crews: YGX, HOOK, LACHICA, Prowdmon, Coca N Butter, WANT, WAYB, and Holy Bang, are expected to showcase a powerful and grande performance through their collaboration.
Meanwhile, the "Street Woman Fighter" dance crews was also previously announced to be performing a special stage at the 2021 MAMA, with each dance crew performing their own choreography.
Following the performance of each dance crew, Lee Hyori will join the stage for their intense and colorful performance in line with "Do the Dance," which will be included in the "2021 MAMA Special Album" and will be released on various music sites on December 11 at 12nn KST.

This year's MAMA, which will be hosted by Lee Hyori, is set to broadcast live worldwide on December 11 at 6pm KST, with the red carpet taking place at 4pm KST.
According to officials, the awards ceremony will feature performances from numerous popular K-Pop groups, such as aespa, ATEEZ, Brave Girls, ENHYPEN, INI, ITZY, JANNABI, JO1, NCT 127, NCT DREAM, NCT U, Stray Kids, TXT, "Street Woman Fighter" dance crews, and Lee Hyori.
The event will also feature a performance from British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran; as well as welcome the reunion of the "Produce 101 Season 2" project boy group, Wanna One, who are reuniting for the first time in almost three years, minus Lai Guan Lin.
In addition, MAMA had already announced the nominees for the upcoming awards, which is expected to produce a close battle between artists.
