BTS Bags Sweeps All Categories at the 'People's Choice Awards'

On December 7, the 47th ceremony of the People's Choice Awards was held on December 7, 2021. During the event, BTS was nominated for three awards, and the superstar K-pop boy group was able to sweep all the awards they were nominated for.

Their hit summer song "Butter" was nominated for "The Song of 2021," and the boys ultimately won the award. The song was nominated against "Bad Habits" by Ed Sheeran, "Easy on Me" by Adele, "Good 4 U" by Olivia Rodrigo, "Montero (Call Me By Your Name)" by Lil Nas X, "Peaches" by Justin Bieber featuring Daniel Ceaser and Giveon, "Stay" by The Kid Laroi and Justin Bieber and "Up" by Cardi B.

BTS also took home the "The Group of 2021" award. The "Dynamite" singers were up against Coldplay, Dan + Shay, Imagine Dragons, Jonas Brothers, Maroon 5, Migos and Twenty One Pilots for the Award.

The final award BTS won was "The Music Video of 2021" award, which they scored with "Butter." BTS was nominated against "Easy on Me" by Adele, "Good 4 " by Olivia Rodrigo, "Location" by Karol G, Anuel AA and J Balvin, "Montero (Call Me By Your Name)" by Lil Nas X, "My Universe" by Coldplay and BTS, "Peaches" by Justin Bieber featuring Daniel Ceaser and Giveon, and "Stay" by The Kid Laroi and Justin Bieber.

BTS's labelmates, TXT (also known as Tomorrow X Together), was nominated for "The New Artist of 2021" award but ultimately lost to Olivia Rodrigo.
