aespa x Red Velvet interaction is truly one of the main attractions at the 2021 KBS Gayo Daechukje! Aside from the visual explosion the SM Entertainment senior and junior group flaunted at the event, their cute moments also made K-pop enthusiasts' hearts flutter.
On the 19th, the news outlet Idol Issue particularly posted a clip on its Facebook page that showed aespa Karina and Red Velvet Wendy's cutest "battle" ever!

In particular, the 2021 KBS Gayo Daechukje (Song Festival) which was held on 17th graced the KBS Hall in Yeouido, with various stages from top and rookie idols.
Some of the groups and singers that participated in the event include Red Velvet, Oh My Girl, Kang Daniel, THE BOYZ, Stray Kids, ITZY, aespa, ENHYPEN, TXT, Sunmi and more.
Aside from their individual and collaborative performances that set the whole venue on fire, the semi-collaboration wherein all present groups and singers came up the stage to sing "All for You" gathered huge response from viewers, as it has been years since that number of idols were seen again together following pandemic restrictions.
Among the numerous interaction, Red Velvet Wendy and aespa Karina became a hot topic for their cutest "greeting battle."
Known for their kind and humble personalities, both female stars who stood on the stage together bowed to each other once.
Karina greeted her senior from Red Velvet again, and Wendy responded with another bow. The greetings between them continues until NingNing joined them, and as a final blow, Wendy ended the cute "fight" with a "fighting!" fist gesture, Karina then hailed as the winner.
As soon as the clip circulated on various social media and online communities, K-pop enthusiasts particularly, Reveluvs (Red Velvet fandom) and Mys (aespa fandom) shared their delight through comments.
"It's so cute," "My aespavelvet interaction," "Please protect these gems," internet users said.
PinkBloods (SM artists fans) particularly commented on Wendy, who had a greeting battle with EXO Kai before.

As the most active girl groups from the same agency, aespa and Red Velvet were often compared to each other, but seeing them together, the nine idols showed off the visual standard and skills of SM Entertainment artists.

Aside from the interactions, Red Velvet Wendy gathered massive praises for her performance during her special stage with Oh My Girl, ITZY, Brave Girls, ITZY, STAYC and IVE members.
During the event, Red Velvet Wendy, Oh My Girl Jiho, Brave Girls Yuna, ITZY Chaeryeong and Yuna, StayC Si Eun and Yoon, as well as IVE Ahn Yujin and Jang Wonyoung performed Girls' Generation's "Way to Go."
The nine members of the special unit F9 then flaunted their impressive dance, singing skills and charms as "nine girls as pretty as flowers."
During the performance, Wendy was applauded for stable vocals which undoubtedly stood out among her juniors.
Prior to the stage, Wendy said, "It was my first time on such a collaboration stage, so I was nervous and excited to be on the same stage with eight people."
As a result, F9 successfully took the stage with the cheering song full of positive energy. They gave a stage of support with bright and refreshing performances for the tired people.
