On December 24, Harper's Bazaar Korea released their full interview with "Rookie Monster" aespa, Karina, Giselle, Winter and NingNing flaunted their visuals and various charms during the pictorial for the magazine's January 2022 issue as the grace its cover.
In the subsequent interview, the members shared stories about their debut, music, dorm life and more.
aespa Giselle and Karina Reveal Dream to Become Songwriter & Producer in the Future
Harper's Bazaar introduced aespa as a highly recognized group that sings and raps well. When asked, "What kind of rap style does Giselle pursue? Karina is interested in producing. What kind of music do you want to make?"
The "Next Level" singers shared their dreams and plan to release their self-produced and -composed songs in the future. Giselle, the main rapper, particularly revealed that she almost wrote a book with the number of lyrics she wrote.

"Whenever I thought of it, I wrote down the lyrics on my notepad, and later I saw that I almost wrote a book. (Laugh) There's still no space to work on the beat yet, so I'm recording it using my phone. When I have a studio later, I want to show you my own music and work process," Giselle responded.
Karina, aespa leader and main dancer, also revealed her strong passion for music.
"I've liked to make songs on the piano since I was young. As I started learning rap, I learned to write my lyrics and became interested in composing and producing as well," she said.
Incredibly, despite the same dream to produce and write songs, the two idols aim to pursue different genres. While Giselle hinted at her own songs that depict rock sounds, Karina replied that she want to write a song that listeners could find comfort to.
aespa Karina Reveals What She Wants to Resemble from Giselle
The aespa members also unveiled their sincere feelings to each other. During the interview, all of the members were asked if there was something they want to resemble each other.
Karina answered, "First of all, Giselle is a friend who is musically knowledgeable and has a lot to learn from listening to various songs. Even when recording, we discuss it together and give feedback to each other or I get help for my English pronunciation, too."
As for Giselle, she praised Karina's proper posture she wants to adopt, along with Winter's fast dance-learning ability and NingNing's ability to sleep well anywhere.
