Reporters Select IU as 'Best-Dressed' Star in January, BLACKPINK Jisoo Receives 'Bad' Ratings – Here's Why
While IU made not only fans, but reporters in a frenzy with her latest Instagram post, BLACKPINK Jisoo's red dress for luxury brand Dior received mixed reviews from Korean reporters.
On Jan. 22, the Korean media outlet YTN Star conducted a survey among its reporters and selected the "best and worst" fashion flaunted by celebrities in January.

On Jan. 19, IU posted a new photo on her Instagram, and as of date, the post amassed 4.7 million likes, proving her impact.
According to reporter Kang Nae Ri, "IU is like the " Goddess of Spring that came in advance. Wearing an ivory-colored tul dress, her fair skin stood out. IU's look that is pure and elegant is the best!"
Another reporter named Kim Sung Hyun also praised the "Winter Sleep" singer's "sophisticated and neat" look, highlighting that IU's overall appearance melts the winter vibe.
Reporter Lee Yu Na also emphasized how bangs suit IU the best. "IU's pure white dress, the representative of spring warm tone, goes well with the hairstyle with bangs that made her look youthful."
Following IU, actress Han So Hee was rated "Good" and described as a "Human Rose" for her glamorous and alluring look. The controversial personality Freezia then received a "So-So" rating.
BLACKPINK Jisoo Receives 'Bad' Ratings for Her Red Dress
While the aforementioned stars were praised for their outstanding "just okay" fashion sense, Jisoo's red dress, which she wore for Dazed x Dior's photoshoot, is not the crowd's favorite.
A female reporter criticized Jisoo's halterneck dress and described it as "strangely ridiculous" as it resembles the feeling of wearing a bib.
Kim Sung Hyun added, "Jisoo who shows flawless charm to the point where it is hard to find insufficient in the eyes of a male reporter, but the too simple dress gives the impression that it is somewhat boring. If the neckline was a little different, wouldn't it have been possible to make use of the charm?"
Other reporters also agreed that the design of the waistline and neckline didn't sit well with Jisoo's bodyline. Although the reporters give Jisoo a "bad" rating, her dress rather, they praised the female star's unrelenting beauty that goes well with red.
Lastly, actress Kim So Hyun was then named "Worst-Dressed" star for her white dress that looks like a "curtain" she wore for a year-end ceremony.
