Kim Kardashian's And Kate Middleton’s Unborn Babies Featured In Sculpture Together

Celebrity sculptor Daniel Edwards unveiled a nude statue of a very pregnant Kim Kardashian at the "L.A. Fertility" exhibition at the LAB Art Gallery in Los Angeles. He also sculpted Kim and Kanye's unborn baby sitting beside Kate Middleton and Prince William's.

According to The Inquisitr, Edwards' sculpture suggests that he sees Kim and Kanye as some form of celebrity royalty. Their unborn child in the sculpture, which is titled "Womb Mates (Baby Kimye and The Royal Heir)" on Facebook, sits beside the crowned baby of Kate and Prince William of England. Baby Kimye has a "K" engraved on the side of it's head.

The sculpture of Kim Kardashian features her entire body, but without arms. USA Today reports that the Edwards made this artistic choice so that people would focus on her "voluminous" belly and "lactiferous breasts."

"People tend to look at the parts, like the creases in her armpits, or how she wore a dress that makes her look like a killer whale," the artist said in an interview with Los Angeles Magazine. "I'm stripping it of the details people get stuck on, so they can see the beauty."

Edwards said he wanted the sculpture to serve as a response to media criticism over Kim's weight gain since her pregnancy. Kim has been frequently criticized in the media for her appearance and recent fashion choices.

The artist also wanted to emphasize Kim as a symbol of fertility.

"I was inspired by the beauty of Kim Kardashian and felt quite put-off by the media's criticism of her weight gain during pregnancy. Such criticism should be off limits," Edwards said in a press release published by his PR firm, Cory Allen Contemporary Art, the Huffington Post reports.

Edwards wants visitors to be able to interact with the sculpture too. He hopes they will give Kim's sculpture's belly "a respectful rub for good luck and success."
