Best-Selling K-pop Albums on Hanteo January 2022: ENHYPEN, Kep1er, fromis_9 and More Included
On Feb. 1, the list of best-selling K-pop albums on the Hanteo Chart in January 2022 was released. Impressively, the fourth-generation idol groups dominated the Top 5, including ENHYPEN, Kep1er and fromis_9.

ENHYPEN's 'DIMENSION: ANSWER' is the Best-Selling K-pop Album on Hanteo (January 2022)
Topping the list is ENHYPEN's "DIMENSION: ANSWER," the repackaged version of the group's first studio album "DIMENSION: DILEMMA." Since its release on Jan. 10, the album recorded thousands of sales every day.
According to Hanteo, "DIMENSION: ANSWER" sold a total of 585,001 copies. It is the only album to sell half a million copies, which makes it the best-selling K-pop album in January. Not all repackaged albums can sell hundreds of thousands of copies, hence, this is a massive achievement for the boy group.

It is worth noting that ENHYPEN's repackaged album quickly surpassed 500,000 sales on the Hanteo Chart in just the first week of release. Because of this, it is the first repackaged album by a fourth-generation K-pop group to sell more than half a million copies in its first week.
Additionally, ENHYPEN now joins BTS, NCT 127 and NCT Dream as the only K-pop groups to record 500,000 sales with a repackaged album in Hanteo history.
Kep1er's 'FIRST IMPACT' is the Second Best-Selling K-pop Album on Hanteo (January 2022)
Grabbing the second spot on the list of best-selling K-pop albums on Hanteo in January 2022 is Kep1er's debut album "FIRST IMPACT." The six-track album was released on Jan. 3, which makes it the first K-pop debut album to be released this year.
Based on Hanteo's sales tracking, "FIRST IMPACT" sold 251,277 total copies last month. It is the only other K-pop album, after ENHYPEN's "DIMENSION: ANSWER," to achieve more than 200,000 sales.

Kep1er's "FIRST IMPACT" immediately set a record on the first day of sales. It sold a total of 150,153 copies on Hanteo on Jan. 3 alone - this is the highest first-day sales of any girl group debut album in Hanteo history.
It went to attain another milestone when it reached its first week. "FIRST IMPACT" sold an outstanding total of 206,569 copies from Jan. 3 to 9, setting the second-highest first-week sales of any girl group debut album in the history of the Hanteo Chart (bested only by aespa's "Savage").
fromis_9's 'Midnight Guest' is the Third Best-Selling K-pop Album on Hanteo (January 2022)
Another album by a K-pop girl group on the list is fromis_9's "Midnight Guest." It became the third best-selling K-pop album on Hanteo in January after it sold 108,834 total copies. After ENHYPEN and Kep1er, fromis_9 is the only other artist to record 100,000 sales last month.

fromis_9's "Midnight Guest" is a memorable album for the nonet as it broke the girl group's record for the first-week sales. It sold 104,438 total copies, which is three times higher than their previous sales of 37,283 copies attained by their 2021 single album "9 Way Ticket."
