Kep1er Choi Yujin Draws Mixed Opinions for Cover of BLACKPINK 'How You Like That'
On February 2, 2022, Kep1er appeared as the latest guest for the MBC every1 variety show "Weekly Idol." During their appearance on the show, the girls completed a "K-Pop Cover Quiz," where songs from other K-pop artists would play and the members who knew the choreography would rush out to dance it.

BLACKPINK's hit song "How You Like That" came out during the quiz. Members Mashiro, Shen Xiaoting, Kim Dayeon, Seo Youngeun and Choi Yujin came out to perform. The latter four had actually performed the song on "Girls Planet 999," meaning they all know the choreography. However, when they came out to dance, there was no uniformity. Instead, the girls danced vigorously and tried to draw the most attention with exaggerated movements.

In particular, Yujin drew mixed opinions for whipping her hair back and forth in a wild manner. The idol was also seen getting down on the floor, on her knees, and whipping her hair back and forth. While it appears Yujin was trying to liven the stage up with humor, people complained that it made the whole cover look messy. In addition, people criticized the idol for trying too hard to take the spotlight.

While others felt uncomfortable, others simply saw it as an exciting comedy performance.
Some comments over Choi Yujin's performance read, "Oh my God. I thought Yujin was a quiet beauty," "Is she advertising shampoo?" "I know it is a game, but this is kind of ridiculous," "She danced without respect," "Even the MC was shocked," "It's just messy," and "Yougeun looks so annoyed. It's like her blood was boiling."

Kep1er Choi Yujin & Kim Dayeon Test Positive for COVID-19 + Kim Chaehyun & Seo Youngeun Recover
On February 4, WAKEONE and Swing Entertainment released a statement confirming that Choi Yujin and Kim Dayeon have tested positive for COVID-19 while in quarantine.

Meanwhile, Kim Chaehyun and Seo Youngeun, who were confirmed positive on January 27, have fully recovered and are out of quarantine.

The other members of Kep1er all tested negative and their quarantine has been lifted. The other members of Kep1er are not showing any symptoms of sickness but will halt their entire schedule until all members have recovered.
