The reason is that Charli XCX mentioned SEVENTEEN member Vernon in her tweet. She said, "How do I get in touch with Vernon??"

She made a follow-up tweet and this time, she tagged SEVENTEEN's official Twitter account. The female singer wrote, "Hi @pledis_17 wanna collab?" after the group's fans came to her aid.

Charli XCX's post mentioning Vernon came after only a few days since the English singer posted an "important question" on Twitter on Feb. 6. She wrote, "important question: who should be on a 'beg for you' remix????"

"Beg For You" is Charli XCX's latest single that came out this past Jan. 27. It is a collaboration track with singer Rina Sawayama.

Now that she's planning to release a remix version of the song, fans around the world are attempting to connect Charli XCX and SEVENTEEN Vernon to make the collab happen.

The English singer is quite familiar among CARATs as Vernon has mentioned her in the past, and even recommended her songs to the fans.

During a magazine interview in the past, SEVENTEEN member Vernon shared that despite being in the rap line of the group, he still sings in the shower. When asked what he sings, he answered songs by Charli XCX.

Other than that, Vernon often recommends Charli's tracks to fans via his Instagram story.

One time, the two artists had little interaction on Twitter in 2021. The English singer retweeted W Magazine's post about SEVENTEEN Vernon's interview and wrote "omg hi love u and ur exceptional taste." In response, the male idol said "wow just saw this, thank u."

On Nov. 23, 2021, the SEVENTEEN member dropped a surprise single titled "BANDS BOY," which he wrote and co-composed together with Cribs. This hip-hop song is Vernon's fourth solo release following "Lotto," "Lizzie Velasquez" and "B Boy."

Besides this, Vernon also participated in writing a song for SEVENTEEN's ninth mini-album "Attacca." He penned the lyrics for "2 MINUS 1" with his bandmate Joshua. The track is entirely sung in English, becoming the group's first full English-language song. It serves as a "thank you" to CARATs around the globe.

This is not the first time Vernon took part in writing and composing a song for SEVENTEEN. He is credited as a lyricist and/or composer in "Adore U," "Mansae," "Pretty U," "Very Nice," "BOOMBOOM," "Oh My!" and many more.
