Girls' Generation Taeyeon Feels Apologetic to Her Junior Idols Because of the K-Pop Scene

Recently on February 14, Girls' Generation's leader, Taeyeon, held an online press conference to commemorate the release of her third studio album, "INVU."

During this press conference, one reporter had mentioned that Taeyeon is a role model for many of the younger K-Pop idols today, considering that she is a second-generation idol.

Hearing this, Taeyeon said that she grateful for being named as a role model. "I am certainly very happy and grateful about being a role model for a lot of them, but I do feel a bit pressured by that," the singer said.

The reporters then asked if Taeyeon had any advice to her idol juniors (hoobaes), to which Taeyeon said she thinks it is important for K-Pop idols to know what they want to exactly express through their songs and performances.

"I hope they seize opportunities like that, and I also hope that they don't get hurt much," Taeyeon added.

The "INVU" singer then revealed that she "feels sorry" for the younger idols, and explains that it is due to the current K-Pop scene and how the environment became competitive.
