Red Velvet and NCT Dream's Upcoming March Comebacks Draw Concern Among Fans With Possible Overlapping

Back on January 27, SM Entertainment announced that NCT unit, NCT Dream, will be making a comeback sometime this March. The label also revealed that NCT Dream is currently in the midst of preparing for their new album.

In addition, this would mark NCT Dream's first comeback in around nine months since the group's release of their first repackaged album "Hello Future" back in June 2021, which earned them a triple million-seller title.

On February 18, it was also reported that Red Velvet will be joining the comeback lineup for March. According to SM Entertainment, the girl group is also preparing to release a new album.

This will mark Red Velvet's first comeback in seven months following their sixth mini-album "Queendom," released in August of last year.

Following reports of Red Velvet's confirmed comeback in March, many have expressed their excitement for the new music. However, many have also expressed their concerns as this would mean that there is a possibility that the group would be making a comeback around the same time as NCT Dream.

Many have also begin to wonder why SM Entertainment would schedule their comebacks around the same month, as this could create unnecessary competition between the two labelmate groups.

This could also mean that Red Velvet and NCT Dream would be competing against each other for music show wins, and would deter each group from taking home as much wins as possible in a single comeback period.

Some comments from fans include, "I really wonder why SM Entertainment makes their groups have a comeback around the same time," "They [SM Entertainment] are creating competition for the groups who belong to the same label," "Their comebacks will be overlapping omg," "What the heck. Red Velvet is also making a comeback in March?" and "SM always does this team kill and make their groups have a comeback in the same month," among similar others.
