BIGBANG T.O.P Raises Speculation That He Is Hinting at Leaving Group in Latest Profile
Legendary K-Pop group BIGBANG is gearing up for their highly-awaited comeback on April 5.
The group's rapper T.O.P. had updated his profile information on the Korean portal site, Naver.
On March 22, T.O.P's profile information on Naver, along with his profile photo, had been updated. While the profile photos of his fellow BIGBANG members Taeyang, G-Dragon, and Daesung have remained the same.

In addition, Taeyang, G-Dragon, and Daesung have YG Entertainment included in their profile information, while T.O.P has removed it. He left the label after deciding not to renew exclusive contracts back in February.
While the simple update may seem innocent, it has also raised the speculation that T.O.P may be planning to leave BIGBANG.

In an exclusive interview with Hong Kong magazine, Prestige, the BIGBANG member had revealed numerous things about himself. He plans to release his own solo album in the future, Surprisingly, he had been suffering from depression since a young age, but was able to overcome it through his love for art.

In particular, he also shared with the magazine that through BIGBANG's upcoming comeback, he wants to send a message to fans and share why he decided to take a break from the group.
"This comeback song will include a message to fans and a message about why I am taking a break from BIGBANG," T.O.P said to the magazine.
He also revealed that he has started to think that there "might not be a T.O.P of BIGBANG" for a while.
He said, "Being super honest with the fans, I really don't want to say this is my last. But even more frankly, it might be a long while until I come back as T.O.P of BIGBANG. Over those five years, our music tastes and activities probably differed a lot, and now BIGBANG music and T.O.P's music are quite different. I'm at the stage in my life where I want to awaken to fresh new challenges, stimuli and transition."

However, T.O.P does leave the possibility for a reunion with BIGBANG in the future open.
Meanwhile, BIGBANG's comeback on April 5 will mark the group's first release in four years.

Meanwhile, the now four-member group's last release was back in March 2018, with their single "Flower Road." This was released as a "goodbye" to fans following T.O.P, G-Dragon, Taeyang, and Daesung enlisting for their mandatory military service.
"Flower Road" peaked at No. 1 on Gaon Digital Chart and Billboard's World Digital Song Sales Chart. The song also earned BIGBANG their fourth consecutive million sales record on QQ Music. "Flower Road" became the fastest song by a Korean artist to surpass a million sales in China.
