DAY6 Wonpil Fulfills Wish of Fan with Cancer – Here Is Their Heartwarming Meeting
Wonpil, a band vocalist from DAY6 fulfilled the wish of a My Day with lymphoma. At the end of their conversation, the idol also expressed his desire to see the fan again through a special invitation.
EDM (Every Dream Matters!): Lymphoma Patient Wishes to Meet DAY6 Wonpil
On March 24, DAY6 Wonpil through JYP Entertainment uploaded a photo that certified his participation in project "EDM (Every Dream Matters!) All Dreams in the World Are Precious."
This is a social contribution project MOU signed by JYP with the Make-A-Wish Korea Foundation in June 2019. The special partnership aims to give hope by emotionally supporting incurable children through CSR activities.
In particular, Kim Yoonju (pseudonym), a 19-year old My Day (fandom of DAY6) who was diagnosed with malignant lymphoma has been completing her chemotherapy rounds. She is currently in her seventh round, and maintenance treatment will continue until 2024.

Throughout her treatment, the young patient revealed that it was Wonpil and DAY6 that motivated her to keep ongoing.
'Let's overcome it' I was moved by this Wonpil's saying, so I memorized it like a spell, listened to DAY6's songs, watched videos, and endured, fighting for life."
In her heart, one of her great wishes was to meet Wonpil, who cheered her up during her battle.
DAY6 Wonpil Shares Warm Time with Fan Who Is a Cancer Patient
In response, JYP Entertainment and Wonpil fulfilled Kim's wish through the EDM project. An online video call took place recently.
The conversation remains between the two, but it was said that Wonpil spent a meaningful time answering questions that Kim Yoonju was curious about. Particularly, they talked about DAY6 music, which comforted her.
The video call became a private fan meeting, where the "Voiceless" singer even sang a song from his first solo full-length album "Pilmography" for his fan. They built precious moments such as playing balance games, taking four-cut photos, and giving Kim his autograph.
DAY6 Wonpil Invites Fan To Go to His Concert
Before they bid goodbye to each other, Wonpil showed the desire to meet Kim once again and invited her to his solo concert on March 27 at Gwangwoon University Donghae Culture and Arts Center in Nowon-gu, Seoul. This is before he joined the navy on March 28.
Kim Yoonju said through JYP:
"I think today will be the happiest day of my life. I'm deeply impressed and happy to receive the strength to overcome anything in the future because Wonpil's words of support seem to trust me."
Wonpil then conveyed his feelings on the new experience saying,
"She told me that she gained a lot of strength while watching our songs and performances, but it was rather a time when I gained more strength thanks to EDM Wish Day and Yoonju. hope there will be good luck in the future and I hope you overcome the rest of the treatment well."
