On March 31 at midnight KST, the JYP girl group announced their plans to hold an encore concert in Los Angeles this coming May.

In particular, TWICE will hold their first-ever US stadium concert on May 14 (Saturday). The venue will be at the Banc of California Stadium in Los Angeles, California.

This makes the nine-piece girl group the first female K-pop artist in history to hold a stadium concert in the United States. They are the second K-pop act ever to do so after BTS.

TWICE's encore concert in LA comes after their seven shows in five different cities across the United States.

This past February, the JYP girl group held multiple shows in the US for the North American leg of their 4th World Tour "III." The girls met thousands of fans and performed in Los Angeles, Oakland, Dallas, Atlanta, and New York.

"III" is TWICE's first tour since "TWICELIGHTS." It took place from 2019 to 2020 but was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

TWICE impressively attained several milestones following the conclusion of the North American leg of their 4th World Tour "III."

First, Touring Data announced that TWICE has become the first female group in history to ever earn more than $2 million in a single concert in the US. They recorded $2.219 million each night at the Forum in Inglewood on Feb. 15 and 16.

The nonet also obtained the No. 1 highest-grossing box score report by a female group in the US with $4.439 million. This came from more than 25,000 tickets sold at the Forum in Inglewood on Feb. 15 and 16.

Other than that, TWICE now holds the entire top 4 highest-grossing concerts by female groups in the United States with concerts performed in Inglewood and New York City as part of their 4th World Tour "III."

Furthermore, with their seven concerts in North America all being sold out, TWICE has set a new record for the most-attended North American tour by any K-pop girl group in history. They reached a whopping 100,000 attendees, surpassing the previous record of 75,000 audiences set by BLACKPINK's "In Your Area."

Notably, the JYP girl group sold 13,384 tickets each night played at the UBS Arena in New York City on Feb. 26 and 27.

Meanwhile, the group's "TWICELIGHTS" recorded approximately 35,000 attendees. They are the third-most-attended tour by a K-pop girl group.

After their encore concert in LA, TWICE's 4th World Tour "III" is expected to tour more cities in other countries.
