This day marks ONF Hyojin's 28th birthday. Although he is inactive in the K-pop scene nowadays as he is currently doing his military service, it is still a special time to celebrate the occasion.

Before he debuted as a member of ONF, Hyojin was already familiar among K-pop fans and a few K-drama fans.

Hyojin began his career in the Korean entertainment industry by making a drama appearance. In particular, he played a role of a dancer in the 2015 Korean web drama "Loss:Time:Life," but it was just a minor role. His fellow ONF members, E-Tion, J-US, and Wyatt, also appeared as dancers in the series.

In August 2017, Hyojin debuted as a member of the seven-piece boy group under WM Entertainment, called ONF, along with Minseok (Laun), Changyun (E-Tion), Seungjun (J-US), Yuto (U), Minkyun (MK), and Jaeyoung (Wyatt).

Two months later, he and his bandmates competed in YG Entertainment's survival reality show "MIXNINE" as representatives of WM Entertainment.
The survival program lasted until January 2018, and only Hyojin and Minseok made it to the final episode and also managed to be part of the top 9 or debuting team. Hyojin ranked No. 2 while Minseok placed No. 7.

However, the project boy group's debut was canceled as YG Entertainment and the trainees' respective agencies couldn't agree on the terms of the promotion period, which initially was for only four months but Yang Hyun Suk suggested three years (with the members promoting in their respective labels for half a year in each year).
Due to his debut under YG Entertainment being called off, Hyojin and Minseok rejoined their bandmates and just continued their activities as ONF.
Fun Facts About ONF Hyojin
- Hyojin's name means "the treasure of dawn"
- Hyojin's position in the ONF is the team leader of the ON subunit and the main vocalist overall
- Although he is currently the main vocalist, Hyojin used to have a low range but he practiced hard to improve it, and now he can hit high notes
- He trained for five years before his debut in ONF
- He has two known tattoos (one on his right wrist and the other is on his upper back)
- He and his bandmate J-US (Seungjun) have been friends for more than 10 years
- He is also friends with former Seven O'Clock Hangyeom and A.C.E. Donghun
- His weird habits include biting his knuckles when he's stressed and fiddling with the buttons on his clothing while he sings
- He can speak Japanese and Chinese fluently
- He wrote the lyrics for the title track "My Name Is" from "ONF:My Name" album
- He sang the "True Beauty OST Part.7" titled "Before Today Is Over"
- He sang the "Royal Secret Inspector and Joy OST Part.2" called "Need Your Heart"
- He enlisted in the military on Dec. 28, 2021
