5 Korean Idols, Stars Who Look Prettier Without Mask
In the aftermath of the COVID-19 virus, masks became a must-have item to follow protocols, and "Magicon" was coined. This is a slang term derived from the words "mask" and "con artist" used to describe people who deceive others with their looks while wearing masks.
On the contrary, some are called "Mahaeja" (mask victims) because their beauty is covered when wearing a mask.
With these idols' dazzling beauty, it seems like they are part of the latter.
Let's meet these five Korean stars who unfortunately can't show their visuals completely because of the mask covering half of their faces, according to Insight.

1. Han So Hee
Han So Hee, who debuted through SHINee's "Tell Me What To Do" MV, is a representative "Mahaeja" star.
Among celebrities, Han So Hee is famous for her hip vibe, boasting outstanding features including her nose and lips.
But with a mask on, these beauty points are being covered, reducing her charms.
On top of that, the mask also covers her perfect jawline and cheekbones, also some of the parts of her face that make her even more gorgeous.
2. NMIXX Sullyoon
Following her introduction as a member of NMIXX, Sullyoon immediately became a representative visual of fourth-gen K-pop group, thanks to her doll-like beauty and figure.
The "O.O" singer was often praised for her features, including her big eyes, small nose, red lips and fair skin.
Unfortunately, it is impossible to appreciate her beauty completely with her mask on, given how small her face is (the mask covers almost 3/4 of her face).
While Sullyoon is undoubtedly beautiful even with a mask, her fairy-like visual can only shine best without it.
3. BLACKPINK Jennie
Another "mask victim" is Jennie from BLACKPINK. Jennie is known for her cat-like eyes; thus, even wearing a mask can't hide her charisma.

4. IU
Lee Ji Eun, popularly known as IU, doesn't benefit from wearing a mask as well to become prettier.

5. Bae Suzy

Although no mask can hide her beauty, wearing a mask will only reveal a small percentage of her overall appearance.
This is because Suzy's attractive points are her rabbit front teeth and cheeks. Her cute and innocent charm does not show well when she wears a mask.
