Jaechan, Jonghyeong, Kyoungyoon Say They Envy DKZ's New Members
On April 19, fashion magazine @star1 released their pictorial with DKZ (formerly known as DONGKIZ). The boy group is the cover for the magazine's May 2022 issue.
Through media outlets, the interview that @star1 had with DKZ was revealed.

DKZ recently had member lineup changes after Wondae left the group due to ongoing health issues. At the same time of his departure on March 18, three new members were added, and they are Mingyu, Giseok, and Sehyeon.
The boy group also changed its name from DONGKIZ to DKZ as a part of their rebranding.
During the interview with @star1, DKZ talked about their reorganization into a seven-member group.
Kyoungyoon, Jaechan, and Jonghyeong (three of the original members) said that DKZ's new members remind them of themselves when they just made their debut.

They then revealed that they envy Sehyeon, Giseok, and Mingyu in the part where they are still new in the K-pop industry.
Jonghyeong, Kyoungyoon, and Jaechan confessed, "Since we've become quite used to performing on stage now, we envy them, because everything will feel so new to them."
After hearing this, DKZ's new members Giseok, Mingyu, and Sehyeon replied, "We were able to learn a lot from Jaechan, Kyoungyoon, and Jonghyeong.
Mingyu added, "I especially thank Jonghyeong for saying 'You can ask me any questions that you want to know. I'll let you know when I've had enough [information] about them, okay? Feel free to ask me anything whenever you want' to me."

As the interview with @star1 went on, the DKZ members mentioned Jaechan's soaring popularity after he starred in the BL drama "Semantic Error."
When asked if they feel pressured from the sudden attention on Jaechan and their group, they said that they do not feel pressured at all.
"Actually, it has become our motivation to work harder," they continued.
DKZ Jaechan commented, "I am thankful that the viewers of 'Semantic Error' also gave their interests to our group. So, I very much anticipated making this comeback."
On April 12, DKZ returned to the music scene with their sixth single album "CHASE EPISODE 2. MAUM," which has been doing great in album sales.
DKZ's First-Week Sales Go From 1,200 to Over 100,000 Following Jaechan's "Semantic Error" Success
As mentioned above, DKZ is seeing impressive results in album sales with their latest album "CHASE EPISODE 2. MAUM" after the success of Jaechan's "Semantic Error."
According to Hanteo Chart, DKZ's new single album sold a total of 107,965 copies in the first week of its release (April 12 to 18).
In comparison, DKZ's previous single album "CHASE EPISODE 1. GGUM" sold only 1,244 copies in its first week. Before "CHASE EPISODE 2. MAUM" came out, the group's highest first-week sales record was 1,482 copies (set by their 2021 single album "Youniverse") - a record that has been completely broken by "CHASE EPISODE 2. MAUM."
