The two first became acquainted with each other after meeting through mutual dancer friends of the same age. According to Honey J, Jay Park was b-boying at the time, and it wasn't until they began working with each other as dancers in earnest that they became close friends.
In fact, Jay Park often enlisted the help of Honey J and her fellow dancers as back-up dancers for his performances. Their most popular collaboration together is for Jay Park's 2015 hit track "Mommae."
The two also weren't afraid to show off their close bond with each other on-and-off camera, and often shared photos and videos of them together and inviting each other to broadcasts where they are making a guest appearance.

Their close friendship eventually sparked dating rumors between the two. But during Honey J's appearance on the Youtube channel "Kia-Kya TV," she explained that their relationship is purely friendship.
Honey J denied meeting up with Jay Park after work in response to the speculation that the two always seem to want to go home as soon as possible, stating that they aren't meeting with mutual romantic feelings.
The HolyBang dancer even stated that her ideal type is a tall and handsome man, which she jokingly added that Jay Park is far from. Honey J also concluded that the two are business partners.

Jay Park Relationship Status and Ideal Type
As of the moment, Jay Park is currently single and is not dating anyone publicly. He has stated in the past that he prefers to keep his love life private. He revealed he had dated on girl for a year and a half back when he first moved to South Korea.
In regards to his ideal type, Jay Park had also revealed IU as his celebrity ideal type, sharing how he liked cute women. In another instance, he also revealed he prefers women who are experienced in love, and doesn't believe that a relationship will last long if only one person is passionate.
