1. Seo Taiji and Boys

Composed of Seo Taiji, Lee Juno, and Yang Hyun Suk (YG Entertainment founder), Seo Taiji and Boys was a boy group active from 1992 to 1996. They are known for experimenting with many different genres of famous Western music. They pioneered the use of rap in Korean music.

H.O.T. is another disbanded boy group that earned several "million seller" titles. The band consisted of five members and was formed by SM Entertainment. They debuted in September 1996 and disbanded in May 2001.

3. Sechskies

Consisting of six members, they debuted in April 1997 and disbanded in May 2000. Sechskies then reunited in April 2016 and signed with YG Entertainment.

4. g.o.d

Formed by SidusHQ, g.o.d (or Groove Over Dose) became one of the most popular boy bands in South Korea in early 2000s. Their massive popularity made them one of the best-selling artists in South Korea, having more than one album that became a "million seller."

5. EXO
