On May 23, JYP Entertainment's new girl group NMIXX collaborated with hello82, a global K-pop culture media, for their first offline fansign event in Los Angeles. They rookie group also performed for the fans and did a live edition of question parade, where 82 NSWERs were given the chance to ask one question to one member.

On the same day, the fansign event became the talk of the town when a photo from the venue was uploaded to the online community Nate Pann. The post has more than 74,000 views as of this writing.

The netizen who shared the picture pointed out that while the NMIXX members were seated in a row, the fans could be seen kneeling in front of them for autographs.

In the past years, fans kneeling at artists' fansign events was always expected, and netizens considered it "ridiculous" and "disrespectful to fans."

Netizens had pointed out before that some K-pop groups, such as TWICE, B1A4, and Oh My Girl, let fans sit on chairs rather than make them kneel. Hence, many questioned why other groups still make fans kneel at fansign events.

Now, the same thing happened to NMIXX's fansign event in Los Angeles, and so the topic is garnering mixed reactions from netizens.

Additionally, several netizens pointed out that the fans paid a hundred dollars to have access to NMIXX's fansign event, yet, they only ended up kneeling just to get autographs from the members.

Prior to the event, hello82 offered four bundles with different benefits. Bundle A ($120) included access to the question parade and album for fansign, plus an exclusive t-shirt. Bundle B ($100) included an album for fansign and exclusive t-shirt, while Bundle C ($60) included exclusive hoodie and a pre-signed album and Bundle D ($45) included exclusive t-shirt and a pre-signed album.
