In K-pop, there are also mind-blowing coincidences that happened to K-pop idols that will make you say, "What are the odds?"
Here Are 3 of K-pop Coincidences That Will Blow Your Mind:
1. aespa Karina Taking Photo with Super Junior Shindong Before Debut
In October 2021, the girl group aespa appeared as guests for JTBC's "Knowing Bros," to which Super Junior Shindong and Heechul are hosts.
During the episode, Shindong made a shocking confession that he actually "discovered" Karina even before she was scouted by SM Entertainment. The "Sorry Sorry" singer then shared that back in 2015, he first met Jimin (Karina's real name) back when she was in middle school while serving for the military band.
Karina continued that she attended a military event and asked the boy group member for a photo. The "Next Level" singer even posted the photo on her old social media account and revealed that it was her first photo with a celebrity.
While Shindong said that he actually want to cast Karina at that time, he wasn't able to because he was serving in the camp.
But years after, who would have known that Karina will actually sign with SM Entertainment, the same agency as Shindong, and will even become the leader of the group!
Now, she's not only a middle schooler who took her first photo with a celebrity, but a star people want to take a photo with!
2. Kyuhyun Confessing Love for Super Junior Before He Joined Team
For those who don't know, Kyuhyun is actually not included in the original lineup of Super Junior. While the group debuted in 2005, Kyuhyun joined later in 2006 as an additional member to the initially 12-member team, making them 13.
He officially made his debut in May 2006 through Super Junior's performance stage for "U," their newest release at that time.
But, did you know?
Prior to his debut in 2006, Kyuhyun initially confessed his love for Super Junior through his old sns in February of the same year and wrote:
"Super Junior Twins. I like it LOL I can give you a dance, too. Happy birthday. I'm going to sleep now."
Just months after that, he shockingly not only became a member of Super Junior but also debuted as one of the group's main vocalists and maknae.
He only used to listen to Super Junior song before, but Kyuhyun now sing the songs released by the same group!
3. Tablo Cheering for Kang Hye Jung's Dating Life
In 2004, actress Kang Hye Jung and actor Cho Seung Woo first revealed their romantic relationship to the public.
They were once known as a "power couple" who often give honor to one another and are loved for their public interaction. Unfortunately, the couple decided to part ways in 2007.
At that time of their relationship, not only netizens are happy for them but even Tablo of Epik High.
In 2005, he even wrote a post cheering for the couple, saying:
"Cho Seung Woo + Kang Hye Jung couple, I'm happy for no reason when I see them. I'm jealous. May it last forever!"
But, you'll not know what will happen in life since, after the breakup news, Tablo and Kang Hye Jung announced that they are dating news in 2008 and later on got married in 2009!
Tablo once cheered Hye Jung to last forever with someone, but little did he know, he will actually fulfill this wish!
