On June 1, Nayeon took to TWICE's official Instagram to share a series of photos. The post was a sponsored advertisement for Louis Vuitton and showed the idol posing with the brand's latest handbag.

The post was soon shared on Nate Pann when a user uploaded a post titled "Nayeon's bleached hair is just so-so." In the post, they criticized JYP Entertainment for how they styled the idol, asking, "JYP, is this the best you can do?"
Though the post was made to comment on her hair, users took more issue with her make-up. People specifically pointed out her blush and criticized her make-up artists for her round blush.

As Nayeon's skin is pale, overly harsh blush can make her look sunburnt or cold. Since all of her other features have light make-up, her blush stands out and looks harsh on her skin.
Others commented that her blush did not suit her hairstyle, which is potentially why the original poster thought her hair was just "so-so." Many commented that in other photos, where Nayeon's make-up did not feature the harsh blush, Nayeon's bleached hair perfectly complemented her features.
