Before LE SSERAFIM made their debut, member Kim Garam was already at the center of a school bullying controversy. In the past months, several photos and alleged evidence that show the rookie idol was a perpetrator of school bullying were shared online.
The controversy and backlash was heightened when Kim Garam made her debut with LE SSERAFIM, as more allegations were brought against her. It was even revealed that Kim Garam was investigated by the Autonomous Committee for Countermeasures against School Violence for her behavior.

The idol's agencies HYBE and Source Music denied the claims made against Kim Garam and have even taken legal action against the accuser. However, the agencies have also expressed that they have no intention of permanently removing Kim Garam from the group.
With the increase of accusations and alleged evidence against the "FEARLESS" singer, Kim Garam was led into a temporary break from group activities. Reports of her returning to LE SSERAFIM's Japanese promotions even caused a stir back in June.

In fact, many believe that Kim Garam deserves to return to the group after several months of taking a hiatus and that LE SSERAFIM should continue with the original six members.
