7 Most Iconic Moments from Idol Star Athletics Championships (ISAC) to Revisit
On July 11, MBC confirmed that its popular seasonal program, "ISAC," is set to return this Chuseok holiday for the first time in about three years. Based on the reports, the event will be filmed for two days, on July 30 and August 1. Ahead of the much-awaited 2022 Idol Star Athletics Championships (ISAC), let us first look back at some of the most iconic moments that happened at the event new K-pop fans might not know!

1. EXO Sehun Mistaking NCT Johnny for SEVENTEEN Jeonghan
In 2017, NCTzens and EXO-Ls were freaking out due to Johnny x Sehun's interaction, but the hilarious scene that will unfold will remain iconic even to date!
In particular, the two male idols were having a conversation when Sehun moved away from Johnny for a while. Then, thinking that the latter had followed him, Sehun continued the conversation without looking at the other person.
While he wondered why Johnny stopped responding to him, Sehun finally took a glimpse at him— only to find out that he's actually talking to SEVENTEEN Jeonghan!
Surprised, he immediately greeted him and although he was certainly embarrassed, he moved away as if nothing happened!
2. TWICE Tzuyu
In 2016, Tzuyu stirred the internet into a frenzy with her legendary gif, where she accidentally flicked her hair using her bow.
In particular, the GIF came from ISAC's archery competition (female category). After it circulated, the TWICE member went viral for her stunning beauty, elegance, and grace.
It was even parodied not only by fans but as well as internet personalities.
3. Red Velvet Irene
While we are already on the topic of archery, who would have forgotten Red Velvet Irene's legendary perfect ten shot in 2018 in exchange for FREE chicken!
In context, MC Jeon Hyun Moo challenged the participants that he would buy fried chicken for everyone if someone were able to break the lens. He was confident that no one would get it. However, when Irene finally stood on the field, she easily shattered the camera lens.
Plot twist! Irene doesn't even eat chicken, but surely, she did it for her fellow idols.
4. Passionate SHINee Minho vs Co-Members
Can we even talk about ISAC without mentioning Minho? From swimming, soccer, high jump, hurdle, etc., the "flaming charisma" idol competes in almost all sports as if he was fighting for his life.

5. The Boyz Eric Being Chased by Camera
In a fan-taken video, The Boyz Eric cutely chased the wheel-mounted camera around the track and disappeared out of the frame.
Just a few seconds later, Eric was again caught by the camera, but this time, he was the one who was being chased by the camera!
This is so random but undoubtedly a hilarious moment!
6. BTOB's 'Prayer Circle' for Apink Namjoo
While BTOB and Apink are some of the most competitive back then, the second-gen groups are also the same artists known for their hilarious antics and interactions during the event.
One of the most memorable was when Namjoo fell asleep during ISAC. Surely, BTOB would not let this opportunity pass and decided to play a prank on her. While completely unaware of the situation, the members started to circle her with bottles. The maknae even posed in front of the camera with Namjoo as if he was praying.
7. Former IZ*ONE Yena Found NCT Yuta's Lost Ring
In 2019, Yena was simply talking with her co-members when she suddenly felt something roll to her fingers. After picking it up, she immediately showed it to the members and processed it was someone's ring.
Yena then put it back where she found it when Sakura realized that the owner was at their back, none other than NCT Yuta!
The male idol then shyly crawled towards her and retrieved his possession. However, the situation was more hilarious when both NCT and IZ*ONE members were seen laughing at them.
When it went viral, fans couldn't help but say that it was just like a scene from a drama! It can even be a good proposal idea!
