Recently, aespa performed "Girls" for the July 14 broadcast of Mnet's music program "M Countdown." While the members delivered their performances with great charisma and synchronization, netizens focused on Giselle.

On a Nate Pann post, Giselle drew attention after netizens noticed that she made several mistakes during the choreography of "Girls."

At one point while they were performing "Girls," Giselle can be seen making a mistake in the choreography as she falls behind her fellow members in doing the moves.

In addition, it seemed as if she was hesitating in doing the dance move, making it look like she had forgotten the choreography for a brief moment.

In another part of the performance, eagle-eyed netizens noticed that Giselle used the wrong arm in doing a quick pose during the dance. While Karina, Ningning, and Winter used their left arm and raised it to strike a pose, Giselle used her right arm instead.

The members can also be seen leaning more towards their right using their right leg while simultaneously moving their legs inwards and outwards.

But for Giselle, netizens pointed out that she stayed upright and didn't lean on her right leg as much. In addition, her body looked stiff as it bounced, and the direction of her feet didn't match with the rest as they moved their legs inwards and outwards.

Many pointed out that during the performance, Giselle was a beat slower in executing a dance move.

Netizens also pointed out that this isn't the first time the Korean-Japanese idol also made a mistake in their choreography. For the dance practice video of their song "Illusion," Giselle can be seen doing a dance move incorrectly.

Giselle's Dance Mistakes Draw Criticism

Following her mistakes, netizens criticized the young idol. Many stated that Giselle makes too much mistakes in their choreographies, and that she should be focusing on practicing her skills more.

Some comments from netizens read:

"She made mistakes in America too. She just makes mistakes all the time."

"Her mistakes are a bit severe. If she was originally bad at dancing, she should practice [dancing] more intensely. But the Southeast Asian or Japanese people are always flooding the Youtube comments praising Giselle. These comments receive a bunch of likes too. Are they acting like that because they pity her?"

"These days, idols from small and medium-sized companies have a much tighter choreography, but now SM has nothing to show except for their faces."

"I don't want to say this, but Giselle is a nuisance to the group. If you don't want to hear it, you have to practice. We should ignore malicious comments such as personal attacks, but we really need to receive feedback. If it's not enough, you'll have to practice more than others and make it better somehow."

"Don't they practice the choreography? When you practice, don't you also take a video and monitor it? Don't you monitor what you did on stage? Perform?"
