XG Tops iTunes with MASCARA as the Hit Becomes Viral Online

After the release of MASCARA on June 29, the girl group XG has gifted fans with exclusive performances and content. Having surpassed more than 10 million views on YouTube in less than a month, the septet's second single is an absolute hit.

In a short time, the song topped the iTunes Song Chart (Alternative) in 17 countries. The effect of this performance took the hit to 25th place on the WorldWide iTunes Song Chart, which collects sales numbers from 175 countries worldwide. The sales of physical edition of the album sold out in less than a week.

This first comeback was the perfect opportunity for JURIN, CHISA, HARVEY, HINATA, JURIA, MAYA, and COCONA to show their talents live. The group managed by XGALX performed MASCARA in South Korean music shows. The performance on Mnet's M COUNTDOWN surpassed 1,3 million views, while on SBS's THE SHOW has become viral among fans and got to the list of the most viewed videos on YouTube in Japan.

XG still has five more performances on live South Korean TV shows, a unique achievement for a newcomer group consisting of Japanese members only. XG's success is also noticeable on social media: the reactions and fan videos performing MASCARA choreography made the "shuriken dance" viral in Japan and worldwide.

Recently, on July 11, the group's official YouTube channel posted a video showing the backstage of the shooting of the visual video of MASCARA, offering fans the opportunity to see the interactions among the members, the hard work, and the process that made the success.

With each new post, XG gains new fans and the interest of the foreign community. The daily achievements made it even more interesting to follow the young artists' journey and check what one of the most promising girl groups of the new generation will show in the future.
