Eunhyuk's Father Passes Away, Label SJ Drops Statement Regarding Idol's Activities
On August 6, Label SJ, the agency of Super Junior delivered the sad news that Eunhyuk's father has passed away.

On August 6, Super Junior's agency, Label SJ (a subsidiary of SM Entertainment) delivered the news of Eunhyuk's father passing through an official statement.
In the released position of the label, they announced:
"Dear all, this is Label SJ. It is with great sadness that we inform you of the passing of Eunhyuk's father."
In regards to the wake and funeral, the label continued:
"The funeral will be held privately with family members and acquaintances at the will of the bereaved families."
If weren't for the sad news, Eunhyuk was supposed to depart from Korea to the Philippines for a concert in Manila on the same day.
However, the agency confirmed the cancellation of the idol's participation, saying:
"Eunhyuk failed to depart for the [SUPER JUNIOR WORLD TOUR - SUPER SHOW9: ROAD in MANILA] performance scheduled for today due to the sudden sad news."
Immediately after the news, internet users and K-pop enthusiasts particularly ELFs (Super Junior fandom) expressed their sincerest condolences to the family and the idol. Amid this, some fans conveyed their curiosity about what will happen to Eunhyuk's upcoming schedules and activities.

With this, Label SJ asks for comfort and consideration so that Eunhyuk can have enough time of mourning and said:
"We are currently in internal discussions on the performance, and we will provide additional information as soon as possible. We ask for your understanding of the sudden announcement.
For the safety of everyone, we politely decline any visit and flowers and ask for your kind consideration to allow Eunhyuk have his privacy and time to mourn."

Fans Reminisce Eunhyuk Father's Memories
Following the news, many fans are also heartbroken at the news of Eunhyuk's father's passing.
Until last April, Eunhyuk just appeared with his father in KBS2's "Mr. House Husband" season 2, revealing father-son's special and close relationship.
On the show, Eunhyuk helped his father challenge to become a senior model and showed a warm-hearted appearance of a wealthy man.
Prior to the sad news, Eunhyuk's father even appeared in a video posted by Eunhyuk on his personal YouTube channel on August 5.
In particular, his father made a surprise appearance, drawing the attention of fans.
They warmed viewers' hearts after the male idol visited his home, cooked and spent a happy time with his family.
Fans also expressed regret since it was only recently when Eunhyuk decided to buy a house 20 years after living apart from his family. In particular, he spend most of his time in the dormitory, from when he was still a trainee until he became an idol.
At that time, Eunhyuk said that his mother's deterioration in health was a decisive opportunity to live with his family and that his father was also paying special attention because he had collapsed once in 2013.
