SHINHWA's 1st Sub-Unit Prepares Debut After 24 Years
First-generation K-pop boy group SHINHWA will be debuting their very first sub-unit!
According to a report, Minwoo, Donghan, and Junjin will be the members comprising the unit. Liveworks Company, SHINHWA's entertainment agency, has released a teaser photo with the logo. The company also released a teaser video "THE FIRST UNIT" trailer.
Fans of the group, especially of the three members, are now looking forward to SHINWA's first-ever sub-unit, as well as the songs to be released.
SHINHWA is Longest-Running K-pop Group
SHINHWA is considered a one of the legendary first-generation K-pop groups. Unlike many groups they debuted with, the members are still together. It was reported that they will have a group comeback, but it looks like the members' schedules did not align.
Instead, they will meet their fans through a sub-unit, creating another milestone with three members. According to Daum, the unit will be coming this winter.

During their 20th anniversary, the legendary boy group held a concert and fan meeting to thank the fans that still continue to support and love them. The last album they released as a group was in 2018 during their 20th debut anniversary.

The members of SHINHWA all have different entertainment companies that manage their solo schedules. On the other hand, their group activities are handled by the company they created, SHINHWA company.
Lee Minwoo Debut Anniversary
One of the sub-unit members, Lee Min Woo is the co-CEO of the company together with their leader Eric Mun.
Now, he is part of the Liveworks company together with Jun Jin and Dongwoo.
Kim Dongwan Anniversary Debut
He is the first member to go solo from SHINHWA. He is also the first member to create his own company.
Meanwhile, Jun Jin and Dongwan also debuted as solo artists before. They also have debuted as actors and have many dramas and variety shows under their belt.

The three members of the sub-unit all have activities and promotions going on. Jun Jin is in variety shows "House Reversal" as a cast and he is the host of "Open Run."
Meanwhile, Dongwan is more focused on acting. He is now a theater actor and is in the play "Something Lawton" as Nick Bottom.
On the other hand, Lee Min Woo is busy with his own company and as a songwriter and producer with his pen name M.

It looks like older generation groups also want to partake in the worldwide trend of K-pop as more and more of them are coming back and are getting newer and younger fans.
Meanwhile, SHINHWA fans, or Changjos, are really looking forward to this sub-unit. They are hoping to see a different side of the three members, and they cannot wait for winter to come.
