Who is Apink Eunji?
Eunji, who was born Jung Hyerim but legally changed her name to Jung Eunji, is a Korean singer and a member of IST Entertainment's (formerly known as Play M Entertainment) second generation girl group Apink. Eunji made her debut as the main vocalist and face of the group back on April 19, 2011, with their first mini album "Seven Springs of Apink and its lead single "I Don't Know."

Prior to her debut, Eunji was introduced as the fourth member of Apink through their company's Twitter account, where a video of her singing Jennifer Hudson's "Love You I Do" was shared. She also appeared on the group's pre-debut documentary called Apink News, which showed the process of debuting Apink.

1. Eunji took taekwondo classes without her mom knowing.

Interestingly, Eunji revealed in the past that she had taken taekwondo classes when she was younger. But the catch was that her mother didn't know about her taking these classes! Eunji was able to take these classes without her mother knowing about it because it was free.
2. Eunji is the only Apink member who didn't appear in BEAST's music video.

Prior to making their debut, the Apink members appeared on several of boy group BEAST's music videos in the past. In particular, all of the members had appeared as the female dance crew for the music video of BEAST's song "Beautiful." However, Eunji was the only member who did not appear in it.
3. Eunji originally wanted to be a vocal trainer.

It's hard imagining Apink without Eunji, especially as she is the face of the group. But did you know, she didn't originally plan on becoming a K-pop idol? While she does enjoy singing, she initially wanted to pursue a career as a vocal trainer. She even had singing lessons at a vocal training school! But thanks to her vocal training school's vice president, she was able to audition for a spot in Apink.

4. Eunji only trained for two months.

As previously mentioned, Eunji never had any plans to actually enter the K-pop industry as an idol. But with her successful audition at her company, she was immediately put on the final lineup of Apink, just two months before they were slated to debut! This means that she only trained for two months before becoming a successful idol.
