It is confirmed! EXO Xiumin will debut as a solo singer late next month. He will be releasing an album and will show a different color for his solo debut.

Another EXO member will debut as a solo artist next month. He will be the seventh EXO member to make a solo debut following Baekhyun, Chen, Suho, Lay, Kai, and DO. Fans have been waiting for his solo debut since he was discharged from military service.

According to Naver, since the start of the year 2022, Xiumin has been preparing for his solo debut. He has been meticulously picking songs and conceptualizing different ideas for them.

Xiumin hinted at the beginning of the year that he might go solo during an interview with Clash, a music and fashion magazine. He also stated there that he is indeed getting ready for it.

Now, SM Entertainment has officially released the news about it.

"Xiumin is scheduled to release his first solo album in late September."

The idol has also participated in many other collaborations, dramas, and OSTs. He is also one of the members of EXO's first sub-unit EXO CBX together with main vocalists Beakhyun and Chen who have also previously released successful solo albums.
