Kim Hyun Joong Sells 100,000 Copies Each of 3 Japan Singles, 'New Record'

Singer Kim Hyun Joong, who has released 3 Japan singles, have each sold 100,000 copies in the first week of its release.

According to Oricon, Kim Hyun Joong has held a record as a Korean artist to have all his albums released in Japan reach 100,000 copies sold in the first week of its release.

Last year, his Japan debut single, KISS KISS/Lucky Guy, reached a record for selling the most copies on the day of its release. His single released in July of last year, HEAT, sold 183,000 copies in the first week and his most recent single, TONIGHT, sold 116,000 copies. This statistics show just how popular he is in Japan.

Kim Hyun Joong's agency in Japan, Universal Music, stated, "Having Korean singer Kim Hyun Joong with us is such an honor. With every single he releases, he proves to us once again how much his name is worth."

They continued, "With his 3 singles last year and his first official album, he has increased album sales significantly. It is safe to say that Kim Hyun Joong plays a big role in the Japan album sales industry. He is always a singer to look forward to."

On the other hand, on June 8, he held a fan meeting, '2013 KHJ SHOW-Party People' in Seoul. He also appeared as a guest on the SBS show, "Barefoot Friends."
