The Fact Music Awards 2022, organized by The Fact and FAN N STAR, will be co-hosted by Jun Hyun Moo and Girls' Generation Seohyun. There are a total of 20 teams attending this year's event, ranging from global artists to rookie groups.

The main award ceremony will be held from 6:30 p.m. KST and the red carpet event will take place from 4:30 p.m. KST. The show will be streamed live online to fans in different regions around the world, including Japan, Taiwan, Thailand, the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, and more.

In Korea, TMA 2022 can be watched offline as well as online through the mobile app and web version of Idol Plus.

The Fact Music Awards 2022 is also available for watching through Idol Plus in countries like Indonesia, the Philippines, and Malaysia. It can also be watched live in Japan via dTV and Music On! (only on TV).

Fans in Taiwan, Vietnam, and Thailand can view the award show through AfreecaTV, while those in North America and South America can watch via KOOKY on Vimeo.

Lastly, TMA 2022 will be broadcast live on The Fact's official YouTube channel and will only be viewable in Europe and Middle East.

The Fact Music Awards 2022 Judging Criteria

There are a total of 15 categories for The Fact Music Awards 2022, six of which are based on fan vote. Reportedly, the judging this year was conducted "more transparently and fairly" than any other year.

The judging criteria for the majority of the major categories are music and record scores (Circle Chart) accounting for 40% and judge's evaluation is 60%. This applies to the Grand Prize, Worldwide Icon, Best Performer, Artist of the Year, Hottest, Next Leader, and Hot Stage.

On the other hand, the criteria for the Listener's Choice award are music and record score (60%) and judge's evaluation (40%). The Idol Plus Popularity Award is based on fan vote.

The jury's score consists of contribution to K-pop (30%), stage completion (20%), activities (music + record scores + streaming + broadcasting + others) (10%). There are four judges: Editing Director Park Soon Kyu, musician Park Geun Tae, musician Cho Young Soo, and former producer Ryan.

The selection period of nominees for The Fact Music Awards 2022 categories is from Sept. 26, 2021 to Sept. 25 of this year.

Meanwhile, the FAN N STAR categories are 100% based on votes casted by fans through the FAN N STAR app. These categories are Fan N Star Most Voted (Singer / Individual / Trot), Fan N Star Choice Award (Singer / Individual), Favorite Trot Music Award, Fan N Star best Ads Award (Favorite Artist Award), Four Star Award, and Global Fan N Star. (Note: Award names are subject to change).
