Red Velvet Seulgi Shares Anecdote About Members' Discord – How Do Idols Handle Fights?

Red Velvet Seulgi, who just released her solo debut album "28 Reasons," appeared as a guest on YouTube's web entertainment show "K-Star Next Door 2" on the 8th.

There, the soloist recalled various stories regarding her trainee days, Red Velvet, as well as her album by chatting with MC Jonathan.

Among her stories, Seulgi hinted at how idols handle members' fights based on her experience with Red Velvet, who are already in their eighth year as a team. In particular, Jonathan asked the star:

"Have you ever been angry with the members?"

Seulgi responded:

"Surprisingly, I fight with the members. I fought with each of them. Not like that...(physically), but verbally."

Just like ordinary people, Seulgi conveyed that the members would usually not speak with each other for a few days. But idols are surely a special case since most of them live together and do activities as a group as well.

In regards to how they handle fights between members to avoid being noticed by fans, Seulgi revealed:

"We felt very uncomfortable. We either make some distance from each other, avoid eye contact or just look at the camera and say 'hi.'"

However, Seulgi pointed out that this is normal because troubles are inevitable if you're living together. Jonathan continued to delve into the topic and asked:

"When coming to the broadcast, you'll be asked, 'You two are best friends, right.'"

Seulgi then re-enacted her supposed response, drawing laughter. She replied:

"Ah (nodding) ha.ha."

Seulgi explained:

"Fans are watching us. You don't want them to notice."

But rather than avoiding each other, Seulgi shared wise tips as an 8-year idol on how to handle fights between members.

"So we have to make up fast. We speak directly with each other. 'Have I done anything wrong to you? Have I?' We know each other by looking at each other eyes."

As the broadcast went on, Seulgi also talked about what her group meant to her, especially when she decided to debut as a solo artist.

"The members are giving me a lot of strength. There are members who debuted solo. We give and share our own advice."

"You are so cute and lovely. But we don't have a chance to speak with each other, Yuqi. Let's meet up and talk and spend some time as friends. Fighting!"
