IVE Jang Wonyoung Reportedly Wore Miu Miu's Clothes From Old Seasons at Fashion Show

Back on October 4, IVE member Jang Wonyoung was spotted with Girls' Generation member YoonA attending Miu Miu's 2023 Spring Summer fashion show during Paris Fashion Week. At the event, Jang Wonyoung made headlines for her doll-like visuals.

However, she also gained negative attention after she was reportedly snubbed at the fashion show and by Miu Miu's CEO, as compared to how YoonA was treated.

But in particular, the IVE member also drew attention for her outfit, in which she wore a navy cardigan top with contrast pockets and gold buttons from Miu Miu, a brand in which she is a brand ambassador of. In addition, she styled her preppy look with denim low-rise cut-offs and a belt.

Following her appearance at Paris Fashion Week, it is only natural that fans of the idol search up more about the outfit she wore to the event.

However, as they did their research, netizens found that Jang Wonyoung seemingly wore a similar-looking pieces to the event from Miu Miu's 2020 Spring Summer collection. As a result, Jang Wonyoung ended up getting criticized for supposedly wearing items from a couple of years ago.

Not only that, but Sojang, an infamous Youtuber known to stir malicious rumors, accused the "After LIKE" singer of buying her clothes secondhand. This is because brands or stores tend to stop selling clothes after a certain amount of time, and it is likely that the piece in question that Jang Wonyoung wore from six seasons ago is no longer available for purchase.

With the criticisms, in addition to Sojang's video, Jang Wonyoung ended up even getting accused of paying her way into the event, as brand ambassadors would usually be given clothes to wear from the brand's latest collection.

Miu Miu Responds to Claims Against Jang Wonyoung's Outfit

After much speculation, Miu Miu has stepped up to respond to recent claims made against Jang Wonyoung. On October 12, Miu Miu revealed that the item in question was a piece that they have yet to release, as it is part of their upcoming collection to be unveiled next month.

Miu Miu said, "The product that Jang Wonyoung was wearing is from the unreleased Miu Miu Holiday Collection 2023 and it will be made public through our campaign in November."
