BTS Jin Announces Upcoming Solo Debut During 'Yet to Come' in Busan Concert

Recently on October 15, BTS held their highly-anticipated free concert Yet to Come in Busan as part of South Korea's bid to host the 2030 World Expo, in which the seven-piece group is the ambassador for.

BTS' Yet to Come concert, which was previously mired with several issues, including the Busan government's lack of financial support to fund the free event, went without a hitch at the Busan Asiad Main Stadium.

The exciting concert was attended by up to 50,000 fans who came from all around the world, and was simultaneously livestreamed and had a live-play, which drew in accumulatively more than a million viewers across the globe.

Following the members' fun performances of 20 of their well-loved songs during the 90-minute event, BTS ended their Yet to Come concert with a speech from each member.

All seven of the members expressed their love and gratitude to their fandom ARMY, as well as share what the latter can expect from the group in the coming months.

In particular, Jin excited fans when he announced that he will be releasing his own solo single album soon, making him the second BTS member after J-Hope ("Jack In The Box") to release solo music following the announcement of their indefinite hiatus back in June 2022.

Regarding his upcoming solo debut, Jin said, "Lastly, I have something to tell you... I have ended up becoming the second [BTS member] after J-Hope to release my own album. It is not a huge album or anything, it is just a single."

He then teased fans on what they can expect from his upcoming solo release. During his speech, he revealed that he was able to collaborate with someone for his single, yet did not divulge any more information on who this person could be.

The 29-year-old idol also shared that he has been filming a variety of things for his highly-anticipated solo debut.

"It is not that big of a deal, it is just a single. I was able to work together with someone that I had always really liked, so I will be releasing a new song. I have filmed a lot of different things recently, and there is still a lot of [content] left to film. So I hope you will enjoy all of it," the eldest BTS member said.

Meanwhile, this would mark Jin's first official solo release since his debut with BTS back in June 2013. His latest solo release, although unofficial, was the global hit "Super Tuna," released back in December 2021 as a gift to fans for his birthday celebration.
