The five-piece girl group has since then been iconic for their Y2K fashion, known for their trendsetting styles despite their rookie status in the industry; capturing fans' attentions by mixing nostalgia with a modern take.
So far, the group and their stylists have been showered with praise for their outfits, as not only are they trendy, but they are also age-appropriate for the NewJeans members, whose ages range between 14 years old to 18 years old in international reckoning.

However, despite how fashionable their fashion choices can be, some are beginning to question just how far their experimental styles will go.
NewJeans Draws Divided Reactions to Latest Fashion During 2022 KCON Japan
In particular, the members made fans scratch their heads when they appeared at the 2022 The Fact Music Awards (TMA) layered in clothing with varying patterns. While some thought the outfit was age-appropriate and creative, others think the overall outfit was too mismatched.
But more recently, members Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein attended the 2022 KCON Japan on October 15 local time. During their appearance, the group once again drew divided reactions for their rather unique looks.
While NewJeans took the attention of the audience with their charismatic performances and their beautiful visuals, the members' outfits were a mix of Y2K and athletic streetwear that was definitely an embodiment of fun.
Other netizens felt that their outfits were a perfect representation of Y2K fashion, while some thought the group's styling was becoming confusing and losing its direction.
Some even noted that they were only able to pull of their outfits due to their young ages, while others began wondering if the group's stylist has changed.
