JY Park Writes Message for TWICE in Celebration of Group's 7th Anniversary

TWICE is celebrating their 7th anniversary as a group this October and they have multiple events and merchandise prepared for the fans.

On Oct. 20, the "Talk that Talk" singers opened an exhibition and pop-up store in Seoul. The event will take place until November 6 and offers fans a total of 19 limited edition items.

The most expensive item is a Mina Checked Shirt that costs 78,000 won, while the cheapest item are the trading cards that are worth 6,000 won.

Other products on-site are ball caps, keyrings, bracelets, badges, and more.

Then, on Nov. 5, TWICE will hold two fan meetings at KBS Arena. The first show will start at 1 p.m. KST, while the second will begin at 7 p.m. KST and will also be broadcast online for free via Beyond LIVE.

Called "ONCE HALLOWEEN 3," the event is the girl group's first offline fan meeting in three years since "ONCE HALLOWEEN 2" was held in 2019.

Amid the celebration, JYP Entertainment's very own J.Y. Park or Park Jinyoung created a post on his personal Instagram account to congratulate TWICE on the 7th anniversary of their debut.

The "Asiansoul" tagged TWICE and wrote in Korean:

"There's no other group like this.

I've produced many groups and watched countless others from the sidelines up until now, but I've never seen a group sincerely treasure and care for one another to this extent for more than seven years.

They are endlessly beautiful and deserving of gratitude, and they get more and more lovable the more you see them... that's who TWICE is. They're so lovely."

J.Y. Park also wrote the following message in English:

"I've produced and watched so many groups in my lifetime but I never saw a group stay this tight for 7 long years.

How can we not love [these] beautiful modest sweethearts? Just wanna tell you that I'm so proud of you and I love you."

Along with these messages, J.Y. Park included a photo of TWICE that seemed to have been taken during the girls' rookie days. (see image above)

TWICE's 'BETWEEN 1&2' Becomes 1st K-pop Girl Group Album of 2022 to Achieve THIS

In other news, TWICE's 11th mini-album "BETWEEN 1&2" has attained an incredible feat on Billboard 200.

For the week ending on Oct. 22, "BETWEEN 1&2" took No. 131 on Billboard's Top 200 Albums chart after being at No. 129 in the previous week. The album has now spent seven consecutive weeks on the tally, becoming the first K-pop girl group album of 2022 to ever do so.

"BETWEEN 1&2" also managed to stay strong on other Billboard album charts. It occupied No. 4 on the World Albums chart, No. 9 on the Top Current Album Sales chart, and No. 11 on the Top Album Sales chart.

Meanwhile, TWICE's newest title song "Talk that Talk" placed 63rd on Billboard's Global Excl. U.S. chart and 95th on the Global 200. Lastly, TWICE secured No. 77 on Artist 100 in their 19th non-consecutive week on the list.
