Super Junior Eunhyuk Opens Up About Losing Father, Thoughts On Marriage
In an interview, Super Junior Eunhyuk opened up about his father's passing for the first time. He also shared how his father influenced him to consider getting married.
On October 25, Super Junior Eunhyuk was invited as a special guest for the Argentinian non-verbal show, "Fuerza Bruta." This is an audience-participating performance that takes place in all spaces, including walls and ceilings, without the boundary between the stage and the audience.
Prior to the show, Eunhyuk sat down for an interview with Sports Seoul during its technical rehearsal, wherein he expressed his feelings and thoughts about his father's death for the first time.

During the interview, he revealed his feelings about losing his dad and said:
"I haven't overcome it yet. Even now, when I'm alone, I sometimes cry.
I think I will live with it as a burden on my heart for the rest of my life. I still can't organize it. Fortunately, there are many good people around. Members, staff members, and fans...I feel grateful for their existence."
He added:
"I did everything I could to forget my sadness. Just in time, a proposal was made to appear in the performance of 'Fuerza Bruta.'"
Eunhyuk's father, known among fans as Papa Lee, passed away on August 6, just a day ahead of Super Junior's concert in Manila, Philippines. As a result, the male idol didn't continue his flight and the "Super Show 9" was postponed although the members held a mini fan meeting.

As the conversation went on, the "Mango" singer shared that he's already considering getting married after what happened to his father.
"After losing my father, I have hopes to get married."
He explained that he felt envious of when ELFs, their fans, who used to be in high school when they debuted in 2005, are now mothers who bring their children during fan meetings and concerts.

"I am jealous that fans are maintaining their lives well by spending time with us, sharing memories, and enjoying them. I think we should create a family zone for the 'Super Show' audience soon."
Eunhyuk also mentioned his co-artist under SM Entertainment, Changmin, who is one of the male idols known to be husbands and fathers of their own families.

"TVXQ Changmin from the same agency recently became a father, and he was truly cool and respectful. After my father died, I also wanted to make my own family and show it to my mother. I'm not sure who will go first among our members yet (laughs)."
Meanwhile, Eunhyuk's father, Lee Kang Heon, showed his husband and father-material aspects when he appeared on KBS 2TV's entertainment program "Mr. House Husband Season 2" since last year and attracted attention for building an incredible family relationship.
