OMEGA X Reportedly Booked Flight to Korea Using Own Money + CEO Kang Approached by Guards

After releasing footage of Spire Entertainment CEO Kang verbally and physically abusing OMEGA X members in Los Angeles, media outlet SBS News has issued an exclusive report to provide further details about the company official and K-pop idols.

On Oct. 25, SBS News reported that OMEGA X booked a flight back to Korea with their own money and without the financial support from their agency. They added that all 11 members of the group and one manager of the agency who was in charge of the overseas tour boarded a flight to Korea from Los Angeles on the 24th.

The media outlet also stated that some members, with the help of their parents in Korea, were able to purchase a plane ticket in order to go home.

Previously, OMEGA X was scheduled to depart from Los Angeles on the 23rd after completing their overseas concert as part of their first-ever world tour "CONNECT: Don't Give Up," but the flight was abruptly called off following the abuse accusations.

While they were left in the United States, the Spire Entertainment's staff members who accompanied them throughout their world tour had boarded a plane to return to Korea.

In a statement, CEO Kang told SBS News that the cancellation of the boy group's flight had been planned days ago due to "fans being on the same flight" as the artists.

Now, SBS News revealed further information on what happened after OMEGA X's flight back to Korea was canceled. The media outlet said that CEO Kang continued to cause a commotion with the members.

SBS reported that Kang was approached by hotel security guards to stop her from making a fuss in the hotel corridor, continuously knocking on the doors of the hotel rooms where the idols were staying. The media outlet also noted that they belatedly discovered that the local police were dispatched to the hotel twice.

As of press time, neither Spire Entertainment nor CEO Kang has responded to the new information revealed by SBS News.

Meanwhile, OMEGA X is expected to arrive at Incheon International Airport today, Oct. 25, and will reveal their position regarding the situation.

OMEGA X's Recent Activities

In addition to completing their world tour, OMEGA X made two Korean comebacks this year. They even made their Japanese debut.

OMEGA X kicked off the year with the release of their second Korean EP "Love Me Like," which contains the title song of the same name. With "Love Me Like," the group more than doubled their previous first-week sales record of 48,972 copies set by "What's Goin' On." The second EP impressively sold a total of 85,647 copies.

The artist went on to break their personal record for first-week sales with their first full album "Story Written in Music," released in June. The album sold a total of 109,018 copies, becoming the group's best-selling album in their career, to date.

On Aug. 24, OMEGA X made their Japanese debut under Tokuma Shoten with the mini-album "Stand Up!," which features the title track of the same name that was pre-released on July 1.
