About Choi Raesung: One of the YG Trainees Who Appeared on Mnet's "Stray Kids"

Choi Raesung was born on Jan. 1, 2000, and joined YG Entertainment when he was only 13 years old.

Before starting his training at YG Entertainment, Raesung participated in "K-pop Star 3" in 2011. He was eliminated, however, during the third preliminary round. He was just 12 years old at that time and his vocal and dance skills weren't that polished.

Following his elimination, he honed his skills with consistent practice. He was then accepted as a trainee at YG Entertainment. He was part of the agency's popular trainee team, called Silver Boys.

Three years after joining YG, Raesung appeared on Mnet's "Stray Kids" as a member of the YG team or Silver Boys that competed against the JYP team. He was the main rapper of the group.

Now that it's almost five years since he made an appearance on the survival show, where could YG trainee Choi Raesung be at present?

At present, Choi Raesung is no longer a YG trainee, but instead one of the company's composers and producers. He uses the name Millennium as his identity for all the songs he produces and composes. He also uses the name Yunghoodieboii for his composed works.

Raesung started training to become a K-pop idol under YG Entertainment but at the end of 2017, he gave up to be a trainee and focused on being a producer.

Notably, after he was accepted as a trainee at YG, Raesung learned to compose and mix songs from Teddy Park, a legendary composer from YG Entertainment who has composed numerous songs for YG groups such as 2NE1, BIGBANG, iKON, BLACKPINK, and more. He started practicing producing songs when he was 15 years old.

With his name Millennium, Choi Raesung has produced songs which have been sung by YG artists, and all the songs that he produced have always become a hit. A few of those tracks are iKON's "Bling Bling" and "Love Scenario," Bobby's "Tendae" and "Alien," and WINNER's "HELLO." He even composed a "MIXNINE" song titled "Come Play," and he produced the "Why So Lonely" rendition that the YG team performed on Mnet's "Stray Kids."

In addition to being a producer and composer, former YG trainee Choi Raesung is also a member of the independent boy band F'Club, together with rapper Yawah and former iKON B.I. He goes by the stage name Balloon. He is also a member of the producing team White Noise Club.
