LE SSERAFIM Kim Chaewon Earns Praise for Her Reply to FEARNOT Suffering From Depression

On Nov. 3, one netizen took to the online forum TheQoo to start a discussion about LE SSERAFIM Kim Chaewon's reply to a fan on Weverse. The interaction between the idol and the fan took place last month.

The fan seemed to be dealing with depression and felt like they're not good enough. They wrote, "I am having a terrible day. I made a mistake today. I'm not happy with myself. I'm so sad that I don't even want to live anymore. So, what about you?"

The "ANTIFRAGILE" singer responded by sharing a quote by Steve Maraboli that says, "We all make mistakes, have struggles, and even regret things in our past. But you are not your mistakes, you are not your struggles, and you are here now with the power to shape your day and your future."

The idol also wrote in Korean, "It's alright. You did good. Everyone makes mistakes. We learn from the things we do wrong. I make numerous mistakes. Still, we have to live."

LE SSERAFIM Kim Chaewon added, "We have to live if we want to meet each other. Don't you want to know what our next album will be like? I promise it won't be a joke."

The TheQoo post has now been viewed more than 12,000 times and its comments section is filled with praises and personal experiences of the netizens. Some of the comments are as follows:

LE SSERAFIM Kim Chaewon's reply to the fan was initially shared on Twitter on Oct. 20 and just like the TheQoo post, it garnered much attention. The tweet has since accumulated more than 4,000 likes and had over 6,000 retweets.
