(G)I-DLE's 'Nxde' Becomes Fastest 4th Gen K-pop Group MV to Hit 100 Million Views

(G)I-DLE's 'Nxde' Becomes Fastest 4th Gen K-pop Group MV to Hit 100 Million Views

Before 10 a.m. KST on Nov. 4, (G)I-DLE's "Nxde" music video exceeded 100 million views on YouTube, becoming the group's seventh MV to do so following "LATATA," "Oh my god," "LION," HANN," "HWAA," and "TOMBOY."

The music video for "Nxde" was released on Oct. 17 at 6 p.m. KST, which means it took the video 17 days and 16 hours to hit the 100-million mark.

With that, "Nxde" is now (G)I-DLE's fastest music video to garner 100 million views on YouTube, breaking their previous record of 46 days and 14 hours set by their other recent title track "TOMBOY" this past April.

Not only that, but (G)I-DLE's "Nxde" MV is also now the fastest fourth-generation K-pop group music video to accumulate 100 million views, surpassing aespa's "Savage" that took 17 days and 19 hours to achieve the milestone.

To recall, "Nxde" earned 24.3 million views and over 872,000 likes in the first 24 hours of its release, becoming the most-viewed fourth-generation K-pop group MV in the first 24 hours in 2022 (surpassing aespa's "Girls" with 23.9 million views).

(G)I-DLE's "Nxde" MV then hit 50 million views on Oct. 21, just five days after it came out. By the end of October, it gained 91.7 million views, becoming the most-viewed K-pop MV on YouTube in October 2022.

Moreover, "Nxde" became the most-viewed K-pop music video on Oct. 23 and from Oct. 26 to Nov. 1 (except Oct. 28). It was even the most-viewed K-pop MV in the week of Oct. 23 to 29 with 27 million views.

"Nxde" is an alternative pop genre song containing lyrics that carry the meaning of showcasing their "real selves" going forward even if it means no longer receiving love from the people.

(G)I-DLE Lands on Billboard 200 For the First Time With "I love"

In other news, (G)I-DLE has successfully made it to this week's Billboard 200 with their latest album "I love."

On Oct. 31 local time, Billboard revealed the albums that debuted on Billboard 200 for the week ending on Nov. 5, and one of them is (G)I-DLE's "I love," which entered at No. 71- marking the group's very first entry on the chart.

The title track of "I love," titled "Nxde" also landed on a few Billboard charts this week. The song occupied No. 13 on Billboard's World Digital Song Sales chart and No. 198 on the Global Excl. U.S. chart.

In South Korea, (G)I-DLE's "Nxde" is still charting high on several major music charts. On Nov. 3, the song landed on four daily music charts: No. 1 on MelOn, No. 1 on VIBE, No. 2 on Bugs, and No. 2 on Genie.

Additionally, "Nxde" has earned the girl group five music show trophies so far. Their latest victory was on the Oct. 29 episode of MBC's "Show! Music Core," where the song was up against LE SSERAFIM's "ANTIFRAGILE" and Crush's "Rush Hour" (featuring BTS J-Hope).
