'Showterview with Sunmi': Kep1er Reveals Sleeping Habits, Member Who Can Sleep Talk for 5 Minutes

On Nov. 24, Kep1er guested on the latest episode of the web show. The episode kicked off with the host, Sunmi, and the rookies recalling their participation in Mnet's "Girls Planet 999."

As we all know, Kep1er was formed through "Girls Planet 999," where Sunmi appeared as one of the Masters. The survival program aired from early August to late October last year.

"I still vividly remember the moment when your debut was confirmed," Sunmi said. "Hikaru was crying hard, Mashiro was crying hard, (and) Xiaoting was like, 'I didn't think I would get it, D."

She continued, "Girls, time flew so fast! You made your debut, topped the chart, the music video of 'WA DA DA' hit 100 million views, and apparently, your album sales are over a million."

Later on, Sunmi asked, "Do you live together now?" to which the rookie idols answered, "Yes!"

In Kep1er's dorm, Yujin and Bahiyyih are roommates, then Chaehyun & Xiaoting, Yeseo & Mashiro, and finally, Youngeun, Hikaru & Dayeon.

When Sunmi said that she assumed Hikaru and Mashiro would share a room because they share the same language, Mashiro explained that the pairings were done through the "Ghost Leg" method.

The "Showterview" host then asked Kep1er to share their roommate's sleeping habits. Mashiho and Yujin revealed that both Yeseo and Bahiyyih talk in their sleep.

Leader Choi Yujin shared, "She is always the first to go to bed," referring to her roommate Bahiyyih. "And I sleep later."

She then recalled one time when Bahiyyih was talking in her sleep, detailing, "Hiyyih says, 'Look, there's this old gentleman coming in.' At first, I was so terrified that I just stayed quiet. (She continued), 'I mean, he told you...' I was so scared, so I was like, 'Hiyyih... you awake?' And she's like, 'Oh, it must've been a dream'."

Hearing that, everyone in the room burst out laughing. Chaehyun chimed in, "But Yeseo's (sleep talk) is even worse than Hiyyih. She talked to me for five minutes. Like we had a talk talk."

Chaehyun continued that Yeseo's personality is different when she talks in her sleep, explaining that when she's awake, she's nice and polite, but when she's asleep, she becomes a different person.

Apart from Bahiyyih and Yeseo, Xiaoting is another Kep1er member with a sleeping habit, which everyone knows but her. Her fellow members revealed that she can sleep with her eyes wide open.

Kep1er to Perform at 2022 MAMA Awards With Other 4th Gen Girl Groups

In other news, Kep1er is scheduled to attend the upcoming 2022 MAMA Awards at the end of this month. They will showcase a huge collaboration stage with fellow fourth-generation K-pop girl groups IVE, LE SSERAFIM, NMIXX, and NewJeans.
