On December 7, Girls' Generation YoonA became the No. 1 hot topic in an online community due to a post featuring her visuals and her speculated weight gain.
In the post titled, "YoonA's current situation after gaining 8kg," several photos of the female idol were attached. The article already amassed 210k views and about 600 upvotes, as of writing.
In particular, the photos were taken when YoonA attended the 43rd Blue Dragon Film Awards ceremony held at KBS Hall in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul on November 25 and stepped on the red carpet.
On this day, the "Gee" singer appeared in a rich pure white dress with flowers. Like her nickname, "Yoon-phrodite" (YoonA + Aphrodite), she drew admiration from those who saw her small face and eyes that resembled a deer. She also graced both media and fans with her innocence and tenderness, boasting her heavenly presence.
In the viral article, the author then added:
"More beautiful... There are a lot of people who look older because they lost weight on their faces as they get older, but YoonA looks much younger and slimmer, so she's really pretty..."
The OP, highlighted that YoonA looks even prettier following her weight gain, just as much as when she was thinner.
As a result, K-pop fans immediately agreed to it and couldn't help but praise YoonA's healthier and more glowing appearance.

Reason SNSD YoonA Decided To Gain Weight
Meanwhile, YoonA who is known for having an innate slim body worked hard not to lose weight, but to gain weight.
In September, she revealed that the reason she gain weight was for her work, saying:
"They told me that I looked good because I looked healthy, so I wanted to show a different image in my next work.
I try to exercise hard to pay more attention to my appearance and change it, so I ate a lot really well. I ate a lot of late-night snacks because I had a lot of night shoots. I was trying to increase it a little for the next work and I succeeded."
However, YoonA clarified that she didn't gain 10kg, nor 8kg. She confirmed that she did gain weight, but didn't imply actual kg, adding that the weight on her profile is also unreliable.
