Choi Heejae was one of the "Finding Momoland" contestants who failed to debut under MLD Entertainment as a member of MOMOLAND. It has been six years since the survival show ended, so let's take a look at her current whereabouts.

Who Is Former 'Finding Momoland' Contestant Heejae?

Choi Heejae used to be a trainee under MLD Entertainment, home to MOMOLAND, TFN (formerly called T1419), and LAPILLUS. She was first introduced to the public through "Finding Momoland," a girl group survival show that formed MOMOLAND.

From July to September 2016, Choi Heejae competed in "Finding Momoland," along with nine other trainees under MLD Entertainment (called Duble Kick Entertainment at that time). This reality show formed a girl group now called MOMOLAND.

Unfortunately, Heejae was eliminated from the program. She then left MLD Entertainment and joined Chiko Bros Entertainment. Under the agency, she debuted on May 3, 2016 as a member of the five-member girl group MIXX.

The "M" in the group name stands for "Motivate" and the "I" is for "Impression." The double X (XX) represents the female chromosome. MIXX was launched as a five-member girl group, with its members being Hanna, Aerie, Liyah, Mia, and Heeu.

As a member of MIXX, "Finding Momoland" contestant Heejae used the stage name "Heeu" and was part of the vocal line.

Sadly, the quintet was only able to release two digital singles ("Oh Ma Mind," "Love is a Sudden") because they eventually disbanded on March 17, 2017. Their disbandment was due to the THAAD political conflict, which forced the Chinese members to return to China.

But Heejae's career in the entertainment industry didn't stop there. She later debuted as an actress in 2018 through the web drama series "Gaeul Blossom." She also lent her voice to the series' soundtrack "I'm Falling For You."

In 2019, she was cast in another web drama titled "Snowflake Blossom," which seemingly became her last drama appearance. There hasn't been an update on her starring in any new drama and she is assumed to have left Chiko Bros Entertainment.

So where could former "Finding Momoland" contestant Heejae be now? Is she still a singer or actress? Well, according to her Instagram bio, she is currently a model.

Based on her posts, she collaborates with various brands including. French high-end luxury fashion house Chloé.

There's also a clip of her where she looks like she's modeling for a skincare brand.

This past November, she appeared on the YouTube show "Let's Eat." Aside from working, she also loves to travel and play golf. She often posts photos from her trips on Instagram.

While she currently works as a model, it's hard to tell whether she has a management agency, as there's no company mentioned in her Instagram bio and she hasn't made any announcement of her being under one. She could probably be an independent model.

In addition to her Instagram account, Choi also has a YouTube channel, but she doesn't regularly upload videos. Her latest content was posted nine months ago.
