Amid the delight of DIVEs after IVE took home a major trophy from the 2022 Asia Artist Awards (AAA), some are frustrated after seeing the outfits the members wore at the ceremony.

IVE Outfits During 2022 AAA Receive Mixed Reactions

On December 13, the 2022 Asian Artist Awards (AAA) was held in Nagoya, Japan. The annual ceremony boasted a star-studded lineup of performers including SEVENTEEN, Stray Kids, IZY, IVE, LE SSERAFIM, NewJeans, Kep1er, NMIXX and more, along with 18 actors Kim Seon Ho, Han So Hee, Seo In Guk, etc.

Prior to the main event, a red carpet was held first, introducing the artists included in the lineup one by one.

After the red carpet, IVE sparked discussion in various online communities after K-Netz and global fans noticed the dresses worn by the members.

In the photo, IVE was seen wearing clothes under the colors white and black. Looking at the photos and clips shared by fans, Rei, Yujin, Gaeul and Leeseo were wearing black 'fits, while Rei was the only one in a pure white ensemble.

As for Jang Wonyoung, the "face of the group," she wore an ivory gown that stood out.

Initially, Jang Wonyoung was criticized for having the best dress in IVE that she even looked out of place.

Eventually, fans defended Jang and explained that she was wearing a gown since she was the award ceremony's MC, alongside Super Junior Leeteuk, and she had no time to change. In fact, Wonyoung's supporters were also disappointed about the star's outfit, which made her look like a "middle-aged woman."

As a result, people called out IVE's stylist, criticizing that the combination of the colors was messy and unflattering.

Fans emphasized that although the members' visuals were commendable, their clothes downgraded their overall look as a group.

On the other hand, amid criticism about their outfits, the event became memorable for the members as they won another grand prize (Daesang) in this year's song category, "Song of The Year," with their hit "Love Dive."

During their acceptance speech, IVE said:

"We are grateful to all the agency's family members. Today is a very meaningful day for us. Wonyoung was the MC, and didn't we come to Rei's hometown like this?"

Jang Wonyoung then thanked her fans and asked for expectations for IVE's future activities.
