Jeon Boram in 2008 to 2021: Family Background, Solo Debut, T-ARA
Prior to her rise as a K-pop idol, Jeon Boram's name was already known in the K-pop scene as the eldest daughter of Korean superstar Jeon Young Rok, who dominated in the '70s and '80s. Her father reigned in the music scene as a singer-songwriter, who created multiple hits, and also expanded his successful career as an actor.
Jeon Boram's mother is also a South Korean veteran actress, Lee Mi Young, popular for playing numerous "main lead's mother" roles.
It seems like "celebrity genes" truly run in their family as Jeon Boram also entered the music scene following her father's footsteps as a soloist in 2008.
In 2009, the singer surprised everyone after MBK Entertainment introduced Boram as one of the members of its new girl group, T-ARA.
During their heyday, the team produce a lot of hits, such as "Roly Poly," "Sexy Love," "Day by Day," and more.
Despite the popularity, Boram left T-ARA and MBK after contract expiration in 2017, and decided to pursue a similar path as her mother.
However, she didn't have full-fledged activities because she only starred in a mini-drama, "Shall We That's" in 2020, and didn't have further public appearances after this year.
Over social media, Boram also stopped posting about her life in 2020, having her last post in 2021 where she greeted T-ARA for their 12th anniversary.
Where is Jeon Boram in 2023? Idol's Status After 'Disappearing' in Music Scene
In 2023, there is still no update about Jeon Boram's whereabouts, or what she looks like now. Fans anticipated that she will attend T-ARA Jiyeon's wedding in December last year, but she didn't come along with Soyeon.
However, her mother Lee Mi Young talked about Jeon Boram from time to time despite her hiatus.

In April 2022, the actress participated in "Immortal Songs" and confessed her dream of becoming a singer. She then mentioned Jeon Boram, saying:
"Boram helped me a lot (while preparing for broadcast). She also helped me to sing high notes, so it went up easily."

But she revealed:
"I felt sorry for Boram while preparing for the stage. I actually envied my daughter on stage. Boram said she didn't want to become a singer, but I forced her, packed up her things and sent her to the training camp. She had such a hard time as a trainee, but I didn't know that. After a week of practice, she said it was so hard."
